Labels
Batch identification labels printed at scanning stations - two formats and four sizes for production floor tracking.
Labels identify batches as they move through production. Augno supports two label formats and four sizes, configured per scanning station.
Label types
- Tag: a small identifier label with essential batch information (batch number, item, quantity). Used for compact labeling where space is limited.
- Traveler: a detailed batch document that includes the full batch context: item details, production step, consumptions, quantities, and routing information. Travels with the batch through the production floor.
Label sizes
Labels are available in four sizes (in inches):
- 1x4: narrow horizontal strip
- 1x1: small square
- 1x3: narrow horizontal strip
- 2x4: larger format for more detail
Per-station configuration
Each scanning station defines its own label type and size. This means:
- An init station might print a 2x4 traveler with full routing details
- A move station might print a 1x4 tag for quick identification
- A split station might print tags for each output batch (firsts, seconds, waste)
The label configuration is set once on the station and applies to all batches processed there.
Purpose
Labels serve as the physical tracking mechanism on the production floor. Operators scan batch labels at each station to trigger batch operations. The label is the bridge between the digital batch record and the physical product.
